Thanks for the info. Race Tech made the same recommendations on shock rates. I will probably just ask Cogent for their recommendation and do that. I haven't done anything technical off-road yet so the limitations of the current suspension have not made themselves known yet. I am glad the rear shock is decent. How difficult is it to replace the rear spring? I don't have a spring compressor.

No spring compressor needed... simple process really.

Cogent stocks .48's and 7.0's for the KLX.. not sure it they have anything heavier. Cannon Racecraft will make whatever you want. Racetech has the heavier fork springs, but it is hard to put your finger on the correct heavier shock spring that is a sure fit.
