Default Modding the '09 seat?

I find the overall height on my '09 just a tad higher than I'm comfortable with, I have read about lowering the suspension but I find that to be counter productive.

I am thinking of having my seat taken apart and re-working it to hopefully lower the seat height. I have visited the Renazco website but I am not spending $325 for a new seat.

Before tearing up my seat, by chance does anyone have one for sale that will fit an '09?

Your bike is already lower than the 06/07 model it replaced. Kouba link is the way to go if you need more (or is that less!)

i would try a lowering link and lowering the forks in the clamps first. as long as your not lowering it to much (over a inch and a half) i think you would be fine.

If you don't have a lots of klics on it you might want to wait because it will sag a good inch.

I would ride it for a while. The bike will settle in if it is new and you will get used to the height. I reshaped my KTM seat and it helped a bunch but it is hard as a rock. That doesn't bother me on that bike since I am generally standing while riding. The KLX however, I ride it a lot to the trails and making the seat less padded would be very uncomfortable for any long rides.
