Congrats on the new ride.
I would protect yourself first, pads, boots,it can mean getting up and laughing or heading to the hospital. Then get the bike some protection.
I bought the d-flex handgaurds from rockymountainATV on sale for $34 one small drop can break a lever very easily without them.
