Default Mikuni/IMS tank/Kinked fuel line

I'm finished setting up my BB351/Mikuni setup and starting to run it/test it.

As part of this project I added an IMS tank, and during the swap i noted that the stock fuel line from the primary fuel outlet was torn and leaking (it's the one that is pre-bent to quickly turn the corner toward the petcock)

I replaced it with off the shelf fuel line, but there seems to be less clearance under the tank and the line is kinking a little. Any tips on routing this and making it curve gently? I ran the bike a little while and noted that it wasnt getting enough fuel, so i switched to the reserve (which is shorter and straighter) and it was better, so i'm assuming i wasnt getting enough fuel passed that pinch point.

also, are there any hard and fast rules for length and routing of lines from the petcock to the filter to the carb? should the filter look "full"? does that line need to be above the carb fuel inlet or is it ok to be kind of flat and there be enough pressure to draw fuel in?

my IMS tank also leaves very little room for lines if you go over the frame. I believe you can re-rout the lines to go under the frame crossbar instead which should be a straighter shot and not kink. Or order an OEM pre-bent line, mine has just enough clearance to not pinch, although it is sandwiched in there. Another option is shim the back of your IMS tank to raise it up a tad.

i believe i am going under the crossbar. its snug even at that. i may need to figure out if i can route a longer line in a smoother fashion
