Whoa!!!! Forget about hockey, Moab, and immediate recovery!! She made a house call and brought the man lunch! Way to go, Playa'!!! It all starts with an innocent "sponge bath," ey Scott!

While everyone else is wishing you a quick recovery, I say, "Work this angle while you can!" Can't say how nice a recovery can be with an attentive nurse at your side!

(Ok, get well soon, too!)

Good to see you feeling at least decent enough to joke around. Get well.
I'm already SO anxious to ride. Not so anxious to get back into an ER. Playing into Moab one day at a time.

Dan, it's been a LONG time since I've seen that show. Awww the memories. I bet many of the young 'uns around here have never seen it and don't know what we speak of. Am I officially "old?"

Wow, haven't thought about "Steve Austin" in a few years. You're not old. How about the Avengers, Get Smart, the Saint, the Fugitive (original), Combat (...with Vic Morrow!), Gunsmoke, Hee Haw (before syndication), Rat Patrol, 12 O'clock High, the Wild Wild West, Ed Sullivan, ..........

Ha. Way to go Deej. I am just watching the Canucks NJ Devils game. Scott you should be ready to just as the weather starts to turn. Get yourself to a gym as soon as you can, get nurse bob to take you to the swimming pool. Take your pills like a good boy.
Glad to hear you watch hockey.

Default Update

It's been over a week now since being home and recovery seems to be going okay. The swelling and pain have decreased significantly. I can actually get my leg back into a pair of jeans. Crutches are a new thing to me, but I'm learning.

I'm now fitted with a 440 mm long x 11 mm diameter Stryker nail (17.3 x 7/16 inches for us US blokes).

My first visit with the Dr. will be Tuesday, so I don't yet know what the prognosis for time to walking and riding are.

TNC - The boys are thinking of moving the Moab date from spring to October. It looks like only two days drive time from here to Big Bend.

Nurse took me to breakfast yesterday morning. May even get a lunch with her next week.

Starting to get stirr crazy.
