Where is the chain adjuster/wheelbase now?

I'm pretty sure I had 110 links with a 49 rear (13/15 front).
Just found a thread where a couple members had 46 with 108.

Not really recommended for chain and slider longevity, but maybe try a 12 on the front to see what that does for you. If its too much, you'll know a 46 or 47 may be what you're looking for.

We could use a table in the FAQ thread with gear combinations and chain lengths.

Just how much extra wear and tear does a 12t do to the chain and slider? Thanks for the input.

I'm running a 13/47 with a 108, and my son's KLX is a 13/49 with a 110.

I've never come across a 12 tooth for the KLX250.

+ on the 13/47. Really low gearing. If you actually buy a chain don't do the 108, do a 110 or maybe 112. There should be enough room to fit the 13/47, but it will allow a 15 if you wanted to gear up.

Second post from this thread might be helpful

14/45 gearing for KLX, do I need a new chain too? - Touring Forums | GT-Rider

The page they link to is dead, so no idea if those combos are accurate.

part of it we know is true. I'm thinking with a 110-112 link would cover any reasonable range, from the 13-49 to the 15-39 (which I am running with a 108 I think, and still have adjustment space). I wanted to just go from a 13/47 to a 15/47, but my 108 chain was just a shade short, probably 4 links would have done it.
