FWIW, I have the TBR M7 exhaust (stock header) and this is what TBR recommended to me:

With the air box snorkel removed using the TBR exhaust:

Dyno Jet needle in the 3rd position
Stock 35 pilot jet
Dyno jet 128 main Jet
Fuel mixture screw 3 turns out

IDRIDR, I'm sorry I didn't notice your question until now. Yes, I'm running the 35 pilot. I installed the 38 when I installed the 300 jug, and it was definitely too rich. I'm not BS'ing about how crisp and smooth my jetting is, and my mileage is very satisfactory, as I've reported several times already. That said, it's odd but true that all KLX's...or any other motorcycle brand/type...will not respond in an absolutely exact manner from bike to bike...with jetting or other mods...but most of them should be in the ball park.
