Default Lowering link advice

Hey guys this is my first post here I have been lurking for a few weeks. I just bought a leftover 2010 KLX250S and I am 5'8/5'9 in between there in height and I am having trouble cause when i adjust the sag for me I am stuck with enough preload to get me up on my tip toes. I have decided to use lowering links to lower me enough to touch and i have read and seen the other posts and pictures of smaller riders lowering theirs what I want to know is some adivce for my height to use either some 1", 1.5", or 2" lowering links?

BTW I am also planning on using some 30mm/1.1" riser spacers for the handlebars and lowering the forks an appropriate amount based on which size links i get

Also I am willing to trade my S tires and wheels with literally 100 miles on them for a set of SF wheels and tires. PM me if interested.

the klx250sf sm wheels will lower the bike a bit...and if you are 5'9"..it should be low enough for you without the lowering links....i'm 5'10" and my bike is lifted little over an inch from stock height on a 2009 klx250sf

1 inch should do it.

I'm 5'9". I used 11/2" lowering links and raised the fork tubes as much as I could untill they hit the stock handlebars, about 3/4".
This works for me. I can now flat foot at stops.
If you put on smaller wheels, will this make the speedometer read even faster than it does now?
