Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if it is known when the 2012 KLX250s will be available? If I'm going to pay the same price for a new 2010 model, wouldn't I be better off waiting for the 2012? The side by side comparison are identical. It almost looks like they just copied the same page and put on the upgraded year. Any idea on how long I'll have to wait? The dealerships here are vague. They want to get rid of the old stuff. I'm also looking for used. There are not too many around here. I did see a 2009 model, completely stock, 1,300 miles for $3800. Seems high, but I welcome input from you. I'm in Northern California.

 

FWIW - Was in at a dealer last week and he thought they were looking at new models sometime around October/November.

I took this with a grain of salt as I was asking him about the KLX250S and WR250R and his impressions. When I began asking about his impression of freeway speeds he says - "but they're not street legal". Guy had no clue about the dual sport models I was interested in... Confidence inspiring isn't it?

I see dealers here listing KLX250S' for $3900 new. (OK area)

 

Thanks. I too saw some listings for $3,999 instead of the normal $4,999. When I called to ask the OTD price, they were nearly identical. Some places list a great price then add on a bunch of fees. I guess I will wait for awhile. If something used comes I may go for that. If not I'll wait until the 2012 model.
