Looking for a dedicated woods bike....

I ride with a bunch of guys up near Bancroft. Over the years, they have brought out everything (MX450, MX250, MX125, Husky, GasGas, KTM - you name it plus all the Jap bikes) and they're all good and fun. The only consensus seems to be that they have all eventually moved to two strokes (I ride a KDX200 with these guys).
Any reviews of the Gasgas,?

On the carrying extra oil, I just read the test of the new '17 Beta 300. It has oil injection. The testers all said the bike ran noticeably crisper and cleaner because of this, and the small onboard oil tank is good for over 3 tanks of fuel. Pretty neat idea.

Yep, I read that depending on how you're riding, that Beta oil supply can stretch waay out - Holds 12 ounces of oil, uses 4 ounces per tank when riding slower (mountains/woods), and 4 per gallon when riding more wide open (Baja loops).. Either way, carry a thimble full of oil for insurance..?

I've thought long and hard about the husky's, GasGas ans betas but I'm concerned about parts and service, as there are very few dealers around here. I don't want to be down with a broken whatever, waiting a month for a part to arrive from Spain. KTM has a few more dealers here at least.

I haven't ridden my friends GasGas' so I can't say first hand but they speak highly of them but do admit that parts can be an issue.
Have you considered the Yamaha 2T woods bike? YZ250X I believe it's called.

Yes, they have very little smoke out the tail pipe and oil will last at least 3 tanks of gas.

No need to carry oil for the Beta 2-strokes with their oil injection. Plus they are awesome bikes.
