I rejetted evenbefore getting the slip on. I mean why not? It's so easy and it's dirt cheap.

Thank you all so much for the info. I put the snorkel back on, seemed to even back out the power band.

Like I said, not looking to pull alot more power out of the bike, just cool it off. With that said, and my dumb a** having already bought the pipe instead of pulling the smog gear first (granted I'm happy with the pipe) sounds like re-jetting will help the heat factor (it's endless summer here and this baby is trying to roast beef everytime I put the screws to it in the woods).

So, the debate continues, which jet kit/parts to get. As everybody knows our bike isn't listed on any jetting companies sites, so what to go with. Actual part number/kit numbers would be appriciated. I really know nothing about this subject beyond what I've been absorbing here. Sounds like you have a needle, a fuel mixture screw and a main jet. I've never actually broken in to the inner workings on engines but have always been comfortable with taking other more "basic" parts of my bike apart. Thanks again for the support!

2 ways you can go

1. easy way but more expensive up front. Dynojet kit

2. cheaper but requires some knowledge (research) buy the "right" jet from the shop.

I am not going to suggest the "right" jet cause I haven't done it myself.

Cheers

Didn't we already discuss this in one of your other threads. And it ended up with KLXer and IG having at it again .

If you are that uncertain....get the dynojet kit. You'll have all the jets you want to play with rather than having to order stuff all the time. It wont put as much power into it as your 2 stroke was so have no fear there.

Just give er!

And that has everything I need? That's a great price, I saw a Dynojet kit for like $120usd somewhere. So I get this kit and I'll have some options on how I can set it up?

Ya Stellar, I quite looking at that thread. Was ruining my vibe Thought I'd try one more time, for some different input, seems to be working, they're busy battling it out on some other thread, it's like some kind of primortal urge in that guy to burn people. Thanks so much, I'm going to order the 2206 from Dyno-jet this week. Hope my bike still runs after.
Any reason to wait till after break in, I'm at 700 miles and ride it like I've had it forever (not under 6,000rpm's)?

proper. have at er, just read that thread I gave you a few times to familiarize yourself with it all. Its easy pleasy.

700 is close enough. i started going up from there, kept it under 8 really. Or you could just do a few couple hour rides while you wait for your jet kit. I'd also get the 13t counter sprocket, well worth it. I got the 13 45 and its sweet.
