License plate bracket and rear turn signals Changeout - Pics
Ok guys, thanks for all the compliments. Let me see if I cant answer some of your questions.
The light are made by a company called Lockhart Phillips and they make several different styles. there for Sport bikes mainly but as you can see they work fine on our little Klx. No they are not LED lights but use a different bulb then the standard 1156/1157. When I first bought them I too was concerned about the brightness compared to the stock lights. No problems there as they are just as bright as the stock turn signals and look so much better. Price is between 15-20 a Pair. I actually have another pair just like you see on the backs. I was going to use them on the front But they were too short to clear the headlamp shroud so I had to order a longer pair. They can be special ordered from your local motorsports store.
Below is a link to the company.

Once you get to the page click on the lightworks catalog.
As far as the cleaness of the bike, Well I havent had it offroad yet and this will be the One Time you hear me admit I have a little Deej in me. I like to keep my bikes clean but I will never ADMIT IT AGAIN.

ok i went to their site. what application did you order for? also, what application do you plan on for the fronts? and do they just bolt onto the oem mounts for the rear signals or did you have to rig something up? thx
Didnt really order for a specific app as they dont list apps. I believe I went with the short stalk IV but cant remember for sure. If needed I can post the part numbers for the rear when I get home. The fronts I dont have yet so I'm not 100% sure those will fit. Should have them by next week I hope but it takes awhile to get them. It took 3 weeks to get the set on the bike now. Its just pretty much the style you want followed by the demensions. Finally they should bolt right up and are simply connected by splicing the two wires into the existing harness. You want to order the Single element style and not the dual element. I did use a big washer I painted black right where they slide thru the hole to blend them into the rack better.
Honestly I thought everybody would like the license bracket and that would be what I got questions, didnt expect to get all this feedback about the turn signals, but it's nice. It means just like my Harley this kid Knows how to build a motorcycle.

Ok, for those of you that are interested the rear turn signals are Lockhart Phillips Short Stalk IV Part # 122-9826. As stated before they wouldnt fit the front as there too short to clear the headlamp shroud so I had to order another set. Those are Lockhart Phillps Short Stalk VI and the number on those are Part # 122-9871. Since I havent gotten those yet I cant say for sure if they will work ok or not. Hopefully I will pick those up this weekend. I will post about them once I get them and install them. Hope this helps.....

Well now that we got the turn signals out of the way (in this thread and on the bike) what material did you use the to make the holder?
Looks pretty simple, just cut sheet metal?
I was thinking of making something to that effect, to get rid of the giant plastic frobbit. However, it doesnt care when I tip the bike over. The turn signals however, tend to take a beating.

Sorry Charles, I only made one But you can have the cardboard templete if you want it.

Honestly, It's pretty easy to make guys just use the pictures I provided and yes just use thin sheet metal to make it with. You want it thin enough to bend it semi-easy But not so thin that it cant hold its on shape. Maybe a 1/16 of a inch or so. Good luck...

DUMBASS ALERT, DUMBASS ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never fabricated a single thing in my whole life.
How do you cut sheet metal (and with fair precision)?
(And where do you buy it?!)

Seriously, I'd like to try this, but pretend I'm an infant...now you get the idea.

Charles,
Don't beat yourself up. I was wondering a similar thing. I can think of one or two ways to fab up something that will work, but it looks like Mr. LV knows a thing or two about makin' it look purdy.
I would assume that a small amount of sheet metal is probably available at Lowe's and Home Depot.
