I didn't like the way my plate hung down below my '06 rear fender so I made a couple of brackets out of an old license plate to raise the plate up about two inches. Now the plate is covered by the fender and the plate light still illuminates the plate. Rear reflector is now covered but I used reflector bolts in case this is a NYS DMV requirement (not sure).

What do ya think?
