LETS POST SOME PIC OF YOUR BAD @$$ KLXs

Just got my bike back from my suspension guy yesterday. Got in a short ride yesterday and just got back from a longer ride this AM, I am quite pleased with the results! Apparently my forks came from the factory overfilled by about 10mm. No wonder I was getting no movement over the ripples. He installed .48KG forks springs and dropped the oil level 30mm he uses golden spectro 5wt oil (there 'ya go TNC, your recommendation). Out back he put on a 6.4KG spring, removed my 1" lowering dog bone and put stock back on. While he was at it he repacked the triple clamps, disassembled and repacked rear suspension linkage. I am starting with the forks at 13 clicks out and will experiment.
Who'd have thunk it, stiffer springs and my ride is much more plush over the little ripples that old set up refused to acknowledge, I guess because my 180 lbs isn't blowing through half the travel just sitting on it. Am I up on the plush part of the shim stack now? Suspension action feels much more balanced front to back now and the bike seems to turn better and is more nimble. I now only have about two turns of pre-load in the back, practically none, SWEET! We have still not giving up on turning down a set of KLX damper rods so we can use the cartridge from a KX 85 and caps from a '90's KX 250 to get adjustable rebound... OK, som pics...
Not much preload.

The gal has her Klx250s evaluating the carb mixture screw adjustment/ suspension clicker adjustments made, so I’m keeping busy with a 03 wr450f starting issue and a Baja designs dual sport kit install. Also a fire breathing ttr110.

Suspension guy said oil level plays a big role on these forks, maybe pull the springs out and get one of those syringe thingies to suck out enough to drop it 30 mm. I think you could use a wire like a clothes hanger, insert down to oil, and use a piece of tape to mark top of fork tube. Then measure up the wire from the tape 30mm and suck it out, maybe there is an easier way, I don't know...
