You checked out Rotopax for that rack? The rack is pre-drilled for them.

Yea i did, but the amount of times i need the extra gas its not worth the price of the mount and the gas can. The ride I took the strapped can on the bike got laid down a couple times on rock and the can never moved.

Went on a nice, if not a little too invigorating, ride yesterday. Took Gardner Canyon Road to where it dead ends at the trail head for the eastside ascent of Mt. Wrightson. On the way back down came on a guy hiking with his dogs, one of which was a Pit Bull who decided to take a run at me. While he was coming at me I maintained a steady 10 mph or so, when he got within 5', I accelerated big time. He chased for a couple hundred yards before giving up. After that excitement I turned onto Hog Canyon Road until it hooked up with Adobe Canyon Road (FS 4088 pictured) which comes out on AZ 82. We had 18" of rain during the monsoon season so the three and four digit Forest Service roads are pretty sporting. All in all, about 75 miles round trip. It was nap time when I got home.

You're right, but I'm kind of **** about staying on the designated trails/roads. For two reasons: It pisses off other users when you don't, and mechanized vehicles are really quite damaging to the vegetation in a semi-arid environment.

Took the KLX to the track, Talledega Grand Prix. Was super fun! Love the versatility of this little bike!
