Went on a pretty epic little ride today. A bit over 100 miles total, 45 of them being on dirt/gravel roads.

Default New exhaust and tank!

It is a new season for my bike. It is still cold outside but the snow is gone. I installed a KLX300 complete exhaust bought on eBay with a tip also bought on eBay. It sounds really better but not too loud and I can feel a little power increase. I also installed an IMS tank.

I would say that I'm done with modding the bike. Beside the exhaust and tank I've installed a Seat Concepts seat, some Zeta handlebar and hand guards, a Nomadic rack and the bike has been jetted and the choke drilled. It also have been lowered 1,5". I don't plan to do the BB since the power is enough for my type of riding and I'm planning on buying a bigger bike in the next couple of years for Adventure-Touring, I will keep the KLX to ride around the camp.

Not bad @$$, but I figured this would be the place for a first post. I picked up this garage-kept '09 with only 1500 miles on it for $3500. It had the racks, handguards, a touring pack, a Stage 1 Dynojet, speedo correction chip, and a throttle lock already installed, and the guy also threw in two helmets, an O'Neal jersey, ARC goggles, Fox gloves, a 13-tooth front sprocket, and a trickle charger.

I've really enjoyed this thread and it's left me with a huge, checkbook-crushing list of farkles to prioritize. What I really need is a 3g fuel tank or some Rotopax, but in the mean time I've added some rim tape from customTAYLOR and a rear-fender sawzall job similar to what Matasickle did back on page 88.

My folks have some land out in the Shenandoah area of VA, so I'm looking forward to finally putting some scratches on her!

Default Nice find SirCam

Good deal you got! And welcome.
Fender mod done - check
I cut mine on a dirt rode after it folded up a few times over the washboard. Then I went for the Edge tail light. Then I...well my wallet could tell the story better.
Have fun!
Your racks look like the new PMR ones(name i think?), nice preexisting farkle.
Go get it dirty!

At the risk of contributing to klx ****, now we have *two* 2006 klx250ses.

The acerbis tanks are a little different. The one with black lettering is a matte finish, while mine has white letters and is shiny. Were the tanks made in different years?

Yep - I think those are the ones. I hadn't gotten a chance to figure out what brand they were, but they appear to be pretty rugged - Precision Motorcycle Racks

Went on another little adventure today. Nothing too wild, but super fun nonetheless.
