Well it has taken some time to finish but here is the new rear fender. I use the Maier MX and Baja Designs LED taillight/brakelight which is so much better than the Acerbis that only worked when it wanted to. New LED blinkers were added as well. I never used the rack so I won't miss it.

Can you take some pictures with the lights actually working? I want to make sure it has a lot of light from the rear for the Stop light, Turn signals, and Tail light. Where are the turn signals anyway?

After nearly sending a sport bike rider to the afterlife, I want to make sure any upgrade I do has lots of light in the back. This particular Darwin candidate modded his super sport rear end lights so they weren't really visible. I was driving through a green light when he came into view of my headlights and I got a good stomp on the brakes. 5,000 pounds of American Iron got his attention and he decided sitting in the left hand lane on a green light wasn't such a good idea. Down the road a ways, I saw him again in a pitch black area and finally noticed 3 dull red LEDs in a homemade looking tail piece.

If you are going to go into stealth mode at night, don't park in the left lane of a 50MPH zone in front of a green light ...

I'll see about getting a picture up with the brake light on. I can tell you that the LED taillight and blinkers are much brighter and more visible than the Acerbis taillight and flushmount blinkers I had before.

I have the same setup. The led taillight is actualy very bright. Nobrakes modded his light even further and put bigger led's in. For those interested, even with cutting the subframe the rear rack can also be used with this setup.

Did they provide load resistors or did you go with a solid state flasher?
