Can anyone make heads or tails of this post? I'm confused.

He could have been more clear, but I'm pretty sure he is looking to trade his KLX300 tank and shrouds for a KLX250S tank and shrouds. Probably just likes the way the 250S' shrouds look.

 

I am sure I can look this up somewhere, but what is the capacity of the KLX300 tank. Also, I am assuming since the guy on TT specified that he wants the metal 250S tank that the 300 tank is plastic. Is that right?

arnt most dirt bike tanks just plastic... im with you cwgoff... why would anyone wanna put a klx250s tank on a klx300.... thats what it sounds like he is trying to do....

 

Well, I just answered my own question. Went to the Kawa site and it looks like the 300 tank has a 2.6 gal. capacity. I did not see anything that specifically said the tank was plastic, but it sure looks like it is plastic based on the press photos.

With all of that said, I am assuming that since the IMS tank for the 300 will fit our bike that the stock tank w/ shrouds will also fit our bike. I sent him a PM on TT asking for pics of his items. If they look okay I think I am going to go for the trade. That is assuming that someone else hasn't already beat me to the punch.
