I too have got forks from US ebay and you guys are right, the postage was high - usually $120US - but considering how strong AU dollar is now you will get forks cheaper than the local wrecker and delivered in 2 weeks. But I got whole front end (wheel, tyre, forks etc) for a steel.

 

yeah, exactly. The local wrecker quoted $400 for some 94 KX250 forks. Given the strong AUD compared with the USD, I still paid only $250 to get some shipped from the US.

Looks good. Maybe you should get a blue seat cover to go green and blue instead of green and black.

Is that w/ the stock 119.5 mm rear links? Earlier models had 117 mm that raised the rear end. Blue forks look great

I'm going to have to rebuild my front forks soon. The forks have a 2" travel robbing spacer? I like to remove it upon rebuild. Any pics?

 

Only > 2009 models have reduced travel - I doubt they need a full rebuild by now, just change oil???

Not sure you know how suspension all works so excuse me if you know your stuff, but the spacer is in the cartridge, not easy access like a fork spacer, and knowing Kawa its a bugger to get at because the klx cartridge is sealed, but can be opened with some careful grinding (e.g get a suspension person to do it).

Using a spacer is always the best way to reduce travel on forks and shocks, and thats how they do it for motards.

You will also need to revert back to the longer klx spring, as the stock fork springs will be too short - although you could use a spacer I guess.

I was going down that path of removing the spacer until I got hold of the kx forks, which like I said are more adjustable with a better brake disc
