Default KLX300 with KLX250 bottom end

Is it possible to put a 2007 KLX250 bottom end on my 1999 klx300r? I've seen one on marketplace for 400 bucks and gotten some ideas.
I really want the e-start...
Bigger stator would be nice too...

I believe they are identical externally and only different on the stator side internally. At least that's what it looks like when I have them side by side.
It should work.

That's been my "observation". The wiring issue may be the biggest challenge to make everything compatible over to the 300 frame, but that's not insurmountable at all.

Thanks for the info.
I've messaged the guy, no response so far, hoping he still has it.
I used to work with electronics as a hobby, so the wiring should not be a big deal.

I have a wiring harness from an '09 from a bike I parted out. The turn signal wires were clipped off so I would sell it at a very fair price. PM me if interested.I may still have the starter as well; can't remember if I sold it already.
