I know this has probably been covered (I am pretty sure I read some threads on it but could not find them when I searched), but I found a stock KLX300 exhaust for $50. Is this modification worth the money, and will I gain performance?

 

I forgot to mention, this exhaust would be going on an '09 and I would be changing the air filter to a K&N.

 

Better ways to spend $50 IMO. It is uncorked though, so yes it will add some HP. ;D

 

Yes you will get some gains with it and it wont each your wallet. the 300 exhaust and header from the factory are just a little bit bigger in diameter. unless the exhaust in bad condition a very wise spend good luck.
