Maybe at one point in my riding life...not so much now.

I may need to do the mod. I suck at riding offroad fast. Lol

Didn't even think about jb weld. I patched a cracked front gear case on a tractor with that steel putty stuff once, still holding strong 6 years later. Yikes.

Agree. While I haven't done the T-mod, I use a SPOT. My wife made me do it.

I am going alone. Been looking at the spot 3, but they really get some mixed reviews.
Half love em, half say they are useless and that the company is corrupt.
Oh, spent $1800 already in **** for the bike, gear and stuff. It adds up fast!

I've seen some of those comments on the internet occasionally about the SPOT, but all the people I actually know or meet up with in CO, NM, and UT who use them, don't find any of those issues. I've been using one for nearly 4 years now and haven't had any issues with it...and I get way, way out in the hinterlands. My wife gets the messages back home without issue, and I get a text message on all my sent messages when I'm back in phone service area. It's a pretty dead simple system.

Any device that will save your *** in an emergency is worth getting or at least considering!
