Default klx250s model ???

Can anybody tell me the differances between 06/07 years and newer 09/12 klx250s models. I am looking at an 06 with 3500 miles on the clock at a fair price (2300 bucks)
Thanks

Realistically, about an inch of suspension travel up front in the 06/07 favor.

Other than that, looks.

There are still some left over 09's out there. Check around you to see if there is any in your area. They are selling for less than a 1000 more than the bike you are looking at and they are brand new!

Yep, and a little bit of body work. None of the plastics are the same.

Plus the 06-07 models have an analog speedo and tach while the 09-10's have a digital cluster.

I'd prefer the analog gauges but wouldn't want to lose the '09 headlight.

Default 06 vs new

I Would go for a low-miles 07 based on more suspension, aftermarket support (big gas tanks etc.), more cheap used spares and those analog guages. I kinda like the new bodywork better but you will break that anyway. Plus the old bikes are very cheap on the used market.
