Default KLX250s Jetting

Hey guys!
I have a 2012 klx250s and I just put the dyno jet kit in it. I noticed a ton of bottom end but lost alot on top speed.. I did the stage 1 120 jet 3 turns out and took off the airbox snorkel I also have a slip on fmf powercore 4. I was thinking rich but it still pops a little on deceleration.

Also idk if ive never noticed it before but I was riding in pitch black and noticed my header was glowing red when I was getting on it.. normal? thanks.

With those mods you should be using the stage 2 settings. I have the PowerCore 4 and no lid. I am running the 124 main and it is just a little lean. Needle on the 3rd notch.

2006 KLX250 w/450 miles--totaled now :-(
FMF Q Slip on
K&N air filter and bigger air snorkel
Jet kit—128 main jet, drilled out choke to .018, 3rd clip on needle. 2.25 turns out on mixture.

These mods ran GREAT!!----my sea level 722 FT, CNY.

06 is gone but 2012 is waiting for me.

NOooooooooooooo Don't try that!!! Idaho dude is giving you ***HIS*** settings. He's probably at altitude, and very dry. You're at SEA LEVEL, and humid as a sponge!

Email DJ support on their website!!! Tell them what your setup is, what elevation you're at, what you currently have it jetted with, and the problems you're having. They will give you the CORRECT settings to get it right the FIRST time.

To resolve the cherry-red pipe issue, get rid of your smog stuff!!! Do a search - there's instructions on here somewhere. Pretty simple to do. It won't affect your performance at all (better or worse), but it WILL drop the temp of your pipe!

Yep I am at 2000FT. But at sea level it will need to be even richer.
