KLX250 stock compression
I believe my 09 is 11-1...
But does anyone know the exact pound reading I would get using a compression tester like used in automotives......My bike wasnt running great and I wanted to check it versus stock numbers to make sure........
Thanks

Cool Thanks
Those numbers seem a bit wide....I would guess the lower number means the piston and rings are toast and beyond driveable...Lots of times with cars you get a number like 115#.....And anything under 10%-15% of that stinks...

RE: KLX250 stock compression
The range I listed is termed "usable range" in the book, so it's still very drivable at 64 PSI, butyou wont have the power of a new machine.
The example you use for a car is different. What they are referring to is a 10 -15% split between cylinders.
If all 4, 6 or 8 cylinders or at, say, 90psi and all within 15 perent of one another, you're still good to go. If they are not, the lower pressure cylinderseither havevalve, cylinder or ring problems.
