Smile KLX250 purchase vindicated!!

I recently bought my KLX250S as an alternate commuting machine and also a backup if my (very high mileage) Jeep Cherokee ever went 'hard down' for maintenance. This in addition to the fun of riding over about a gazillion miles of Kansas dirt roads.

Well, just Friday evening on the way home from work, ol' reliable Cherokee blew a rear brake wheel cylinder. I milked the beast home without further incident and Saturday I used the new KLX250 for the parts run into Wichita for a new wheel cylinder. Although I had to contend with 25+ mph North wind and low-40's temps, the ride into town was decent enough. It was even more bearable due the windshield that arrived on Friday (TCI Products). I installed it even before starting work on the brake problem. Huge difference in wind!

I'm liking this bike more every day. I can only imagine what's it going to be like once I start the modifications and onset of springtime?

Many parts runs on the KLX too.
I ♥ my KLX

I second Dan. My KLX is getting more use than the truck these days also. Just wish I could get all the ducks in a row to ride it on miltary base. As a contractor its hard to get scheduled for the MSF class and its not taught outside the gate.
Cheers Jim

You keep an old car so you can ride and go get parts.
