Default From a KLX250 to a KX250

Hey guys... I thought i'd just share some cool photos of my new (used) bike. I just picked this bike up from a freind who road it for no more then 20 hours. Its a 2005 KX250 but looks almost brand spankin new (expecially after i got done with it.)

Before Pictures (But after installing the ProTaper Bars) You'll also notice that the pipe has a nice big scratch in it. Thats what happens when you go from a KLX to KX (Two-Stroke). You forget how much power the sucker has! Good thing I had a FMF Pipe on order. LoL!

Looks great.
What adjustments have you done to the carb now that you have the pipe and silencer? What elevation are you at?

Default Carb Adjustments

I actually haven't touched the jetting yet. It was jetted for between 4,000 and 6,000 feet when I got it. My elevation is right about 4,500 here in Northern Utah. I just put on both the pipe and silencer and was going to see how it ran. Here is a youtube video of the bike and how it sounds, that I just put up a few minutes ago. What do you recommend I do for the jetting?

At 4-6K' recommend you talk to a few local kawasaki shops and see if they have a known good setting, if not kawasaki has a altitude-temp correction chart the dealer should be able to print out for you, might even find one online. That will give a good baseline, then you can dial it from there if needed.
