When I was in college we had a single cylinder engine with adjustable compression so we could test actual octane of gas. Motor method. It was pretty cool. 1979......

put the first tank of regular in the bike last night. Will see if I can tell any difference. I dont mind swithching to regular since gas just went up again this morning! $4.53

curious about how it turns out, been running 91 since i'm in the first 1000k miles but afterwards will probably go to a lower rating

well in between all this rain. the bike runs a little better on 87. alot crisper too. i like it for around town, think though if i was doing thr long hauls of constant load i would run 91 or better.

Ive been running 93 since I bought the bike last year.
