A few pic's from the NW
Hi.
Very nice pics... Whe exactly is that place overlooking the san juan islands?
I have been looking for a place like that but could not find the spot last time I went up there. I live in Seattle and would love to take off sometimes to this kind of place for peace.... :-)
Thanks

Off the Barrell Springs Rd.west of the freeway @ the Alger exit.
Looks like Mt Blanchard, a place we fly in westerly on shore conditions. Between Mt Baker and Stevens Pass but more west off of Chuckanut dr. The foot launch aircraft (parking area) has quite a few visitors every day, be it to fly, sight see or party (broken glass) so be forewarned of the visitors.
Nice shots, so like in the fourth picture it is beautiful to watch how fast the water fills in the entire area during high tide (especially if you wind it up in a fat thermal and climb to 5 thousand feet above the bikes).
Sometimes a buddy and me ride Walker Valley in the am and then get in a sunset evening flight here which always leading to arguments over beers as to which was more fun. I usually vote shredding the dirt... and then more beers!!!

The vandalism this time.

Those sky riders had to walk up to jump off yesterday.
