i feel so stupid, i just found out yesterday that kawasaki used to make a klx.....not klr 650. so our bike has a really big brother that i didnt know about. how did they sell any klr650s when they were selling the klx 650 why would anyone want a klr when they can get a klx. anyway, just thought id expose my ignorance.

Yeah Calisaki, and they were sweet bikes. I bought a new KLX250 back in 1996-the first year they came out-and it was a tough decision between it and the 650. The KLX250 was really gutless..yes, as bad as it is now..but obviously TONS lighter, and nimbler. In the long run I wished that I would have gotten the 650..but I ended up losing my 250 in a divorce anyway....lol..
