Will a KLX-300 front wheel fit our KLX-250S's?

I would like to mount a true offroad front tire on a wheel and keep a street tire on the other. I think this would be ~$250 cheaper then getting an Excel front wheel.

If I go with an Excel, what sort of total cost am I looking at? Can I get a complete front hub and add a disc brake and have someone lace up the Excel rim?

What year? Might not have the speedo drive but "should" fit. Cross refrence part# on Bikebandit etc. My front wheel is off a 98 KDX200 with speedo drive for an 06

 

For reference, you can take off a grease seal ring from the 250 speedo and it still works. It may not fit on the wheel without removing it. I do this on my 09 250s when the SM wheels are mounted.

The hubs were from a KLX650 I believe so it's highly possible you will run into the same issue, with an easy fix.

 

I believe it is from a 2007 KLX-300. It looks near brand new. The tire on it is barely worn and stock. I'm guessing the previous owner put SuperMoto wheels on and this one has just been sitting around.
