Default KLX 250SF BEST 90 Street 10 Dirt Tire Set up HELP!

Hi everyone. This is my first post here on the thread. I know there's a lot about tires on here but I'm not seeing exactly what I'm looking for. Can someone please tell me what the best 90/10 tire set up for the SF is. I ride mostly street but i love any opportunity to get off road and do so when possible. I almost had a spill twice the other day so i figure it's time to try and fix that. I see a lot on the distanzia's, however it seems like they don't have the correct size for the bike. I could be wrong. If you can run Distanzias, what size would I purchase? SF wheels on it of course. Attached is a pic of the bike just to show off a little THANKS FOR ANY ALL INFO AHEAD OF TIME!

Have you tried searching? There was a thread on that same question not that long ago.

Yes, the choice of 17" DS tires is somewhat limited.

I have searched around. The majority of what i see is people saying certain tires but nobody talking about sizes. I'm just looking for a clear cut answer of what brands are out there in a 90/10 and what sizes I should buy.

Shinko's 80/20 has sizes that will fit, although I believe you're stuck using what's technically a 'rear' tire on the front.

130/80/17 DS compound rear distanzia, front 120/70/17 supermoto compound. Rear should last 10k miles of commuting and easy riding, front probably 3k

I see you have the rear distanzia but you're running a street front. Have you ran the 120/70/17 front distanzia? I've seen a lot of people say it's not a good idea to run a 120 front.

Why not? More contact patch, more tire choices. You get a slightly lower turn in speed, but that is only effective at high speeds. Ill take a lower turn in speed to gain corner grip

Youll never find a 110/70/17 tire for dirt.

10,000 miles!? I'd love to get that kind of life out of any motorcycle tire, especially a rear. Sport touring is about the hardest compound I have ever run and I don't recal ever getting much more than 5000 miles (8000 Km) out of a rear.
If I am running a relatively softer 50/50 or 70/30 DS tire on pavement, even with the KLX's diminutive power output, I don't think I have gotten any more than 3000 miles (5000 Km) from a rear.
One of us must be doing something wrong

That's just the claimed high on the supermotojunkie website from several forums regarding the avon ds compound, the majority is around 7k. It could be because the DS avon is designed for touring bikes like the bmw 1100gs, and people are running them on drz-400's and wr250x's. Heavy weight tire on a light bike possibly leads to less wear.
