Default klx 250 s nomadic weight capacity?

How much weight can the nomadic rack for the 2009 klx 250 s really handle off-road?

It's not the rack that you have to worry about, it's the subframe. If you are anywhere where you are hitting big bumps, you don't want a lot of weight on the KLX subframe.

Thanks I need to put atleast 35lbs > 40lbs back there. I'm hoping someone who uses it alot can tell me how much they put back there and if it worked for them.

Have you contacted Nomadic? He might be able to give you a ball-park.

80lbs....WHAT? I'm assuming you must have been on the back roads and hwy's. I go and explore and hunt in the great canadian wilderness through hard core off road conditions, but i guess if you are putting 80lbs on a nomadic 40lbs can't hurt.

I will definately get a hold of Justin and get a clearer picture.

I don't think Deej has the Nomadic rack, his is the one that came with the bike. The '06 '07 bikes were equipped with a rack from the factory.

And the subframe supporting the factory racks have been known to break with small loads. Some have beefed up the subframe, but I don't know if Deej did that.
