Here's mine. JUst put the first 136 miles on last weekend. Luv it. I'musing the ride it like you stole it break in method, the bike digs it I think.. Let the modifications begin. Thanks to all the pioneer contributors here, you made my decision easy. Brian

Your manual also says that the first valve check is 7500 miles.Be good to your ride and change oil the first time at 100 to 150 miles. Let us know if you see any metal shavings.

i'm with mmatz on that. that oil has done it's job but get it out of there! your rings are shedding metal like crazy. some guys say leave it in there to act as sort of a sand paper to hone the cylinder and some say get it out of there so that the cylinder doesn't get scratched. It's your bike so you have to make the call but i think most of us error on the side of caution and get that garbage oil out sooner rather than later.

Using that method of break in you need to change the oil very early like now.

Changed oil at 158 miles, very little metal in oil. Tiny particles that only showed up with a flashlight pointed at them. I broke in my Arctic Cat 4 wheeler last fall and it had way more metal in it than this did. What brand of oil does everyone use? And do you use the wet clutch oil or not? I did.
