I saw this headlight kit and it's pretty much exactly what I've been looking for to replace my 2007 KLX stock headlight. It's just a plug-n-play headlight, square, should fit right in with no cutting etc. Also it's designed for LED so should be better than just sticking an LED bulb in the stock housing.

The only problem is, it's for 87-07 KLR.

Does anyone know if the KLR headlight with fit in the KLX? The part numbers are different, 23007-1364 (KLR) vs 23007-1372 (KLX).

 

only thing i could see that might cause an issue is the mounting points

 

Looks like the mounting bracket (23005-1052) and bulb (92069-005) are the same part number for both bikes.

Agreed, that is the way to go. I did a bulb only upgrade on my KLR and it wasn't that great. I wonder if that would fit a 2018 KLX250?

I like that the housing is the heat sink, no fan to worry about.
