For anyone waiting to see if the 07 kickstart options works on the 09's, yes, but.

Thanks to FM for all the pictures that helped with the install.

OK now to the one snag, the foot peg on the 09's got tucked in closer to the frame than the 07's. It looks like the 07's come out from the frame about 1.5" then head up and back, on the 09's it starts to head up at shoulder to the frame.

Options at this point
A. Modify the 09 foot peg.
B. Fabricate a new one.
C. Install an 07 foot peg, provided that the two mounting points to the frame are spaced the same.

Greendragon, thank you for pointing that out. I didn't think to check the part numbers on the foot peg pieces. The piece between the foot peg and the frame has a different part number on the '09 while the actual pegs have the same part number. That piece is called the "holder-step, RH" and runs about $60 for an '07 at babbittsonline.com. So does the kick start arm hit the foot peg and "holder-step" or can you not even bolt them back to the frame after the kick starter shaft and arm are installed? What did you decide to do?

The foot peg mount wouldn't clear until I put about 1/4" stack of washers between the frame and the mount. Now it just won't let the kick start go through the full range of motion. I am going to try the 07 mount or something similar, a coworker put onto a motorcycle wrecking yard about 30 minuets away.

Man, it sucks that you got that far just to be held up by something like that. Good pics, though, now I see what you're saying. Good luck on the '07 foot peg mount, I hope that works.

FYI, the 07 peg mount does fit the 09, and works with the kicker. A local guy did the install on his 09, and ran into the same problem, so I offered my 07 parts for testing. and everything fit.
