Great pic deej!
I don't necessarily need new tires on my drz yet but I always like to shop for them. I've ran the 140 karoo, 120 TM2, 130 606 and want to try the 270. I want to try it but I'm worried it won't be aggressive enough for me.
Any comments on how it does on trail riding compared to the 606. Which one wears better?
Right now I think I'll go with the mt21 or 16 on the front.

Thanks

Thats an easy comparsion. The 606 will offer better traction for off-road riding. Specially in the looser earth ground stuff (sand, mud) than the K270. The K270 offers a good mix of 50/50 off-road and street use. It will last longer than the 606. I'm at over 5k miles and still going on mine. But the K270 ***** are closer together, so they will clog easily in the mud.

So really it comes down to this. If you are planning to ride more street than dirt (communting to work), get the K270. If you are planning to be tearing up the trails, get the 606.

have you ever had a flat with either one and had to limp it back home? I'm wondering how the 270's sidewall would hold up...

Here's my take. While I got close to 5,000 miles on the Kenda and it still had life left in it, I found that on the trails, gravel, loose moss and grass, it sucked big time. I would rather wear out a 606 faster street riding and have it when you really need it off road than to run the Kenda and have it fill up with mud or leave you spinning nowhere.

I just do a little back and forth depending on the plan for the next month- 270's for the winter and 760 trackmasters when the trails open back up.

BTW-the 270's aired down to 14-16psi work pretty good during the winter months @ tahuya.

Default Off road oriented rubber

Thanks Deej. As I'm trying to gear my bike down a bit I didn't go with a 120/90-18 for the back, that would have left me where I was before changing the front sprocket to a 13 from 14 tooth. The tires are (L to R) Dunlop 605 3.00-21, Pirelli MT-21 90/90-21, Dunlop 605 4.60-18, Michelin AC10 100/100-18.

PS: the Dunlops are mounted. I didn't edit the above post as I've had times when (not here(yet)) everything has disappeared I have to start all over.

I did 40 km with a rear 606 (120) flat and a Talon rimlock. No issues in 3000 km since then.
