Kenda 270s
Took 7 days from my order confirmation from when they showed up at my door.
I've been riding the '270 for almost a month now in all conditions and I must say that I'm very impressed. I've had enough riding on them now to have a pretty good feel for how they will react under the different conditions. On dirt they are fine - no problems at all, good traction. In mud, they dig in good and pull through even the muckiest stuff like here:
On the road, they are pretty smooth and quiet - more so than the stock Dunlop 603's. They are made from a harder compound than the 603's, though, so your stopping ability might not be quite as good as that from the softer but faster wearing stock tires. I inadvertantly locked up the rear wheel and skidded somewhat farther than I expected on the road as I approached an intersection that turned red more quickly than I expected - so they might not have the stopping ability of the softer stock '603. Control was still good, though, and the bike and I both stayed upright.
All in all, I'm very happy with them and wouldn't have any problems purhasing another set after these wear out. However, I do like to experiment and next round I might try the Dunlop 606's or the Kenda TrackMaster II's which are also very nice.
EDIT: pics have expired

I've just ordered a set of the Kenda 270's myself but in the mean time I just fitted a slightly used Kenda 257D on the rear of my KLX today and went for an off road mud fest... WOW... it was great in the goo. I'm looking foward to the 270's showing up this week
HI, Looks like your pics are not accessible for your post. How do you liketo 270s? Do they mud up easily? I am wanting a tire that does itall, and am debating how street to go. about 400 of my 700 miles are street....sigh. but true. In the NWet, though, we do have mud.... but not too much clay.

Ron, the K270's are OK, but I wouldn't consider them again after now having had the Kenda K760 - Trak Master II. Lots of folks still like them though. While I still ride the road, I generally only do so to get to the trails. I don't commute on my bike - it's basically off-road only, except when I'm getting to/from the trails. If I road more road, I might choose a more road-worthy tire, but for my purposes, the TM-II is the best I've used so far. That goes for the rear tire. For the front, I'm running another tire that I like better - a Bridgestone E660.
The K270's are a 50/50 tire. They will do mud, just not very good. In clay mud, they suck, don't self clean too well. But for hard to meduim pack dirt, they work rather well. Sand is very tricky and tend to become squirrily in deep sand. On the road, they do become a little road noise, but very reasonable. I've already gone 2K miles on mine and expect maybe 5k-8k miles of life for the read tire. And the price is really low per tire.
Do a search, I believe their is a "Official Tire Report" thread somewhere. If I find it, I'll add further data on the K270's.
