deej,

Rocky Mount is more expensive that AMT.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Now a question. Since you are putting agressive OFF ROAD tires on your KLX250S, does that mean you are going to ride it in the DIRT?

I compared both places and with the free shipping, Rocky Mtn beats AMT by $13.29, but the real issue is who can really deliver these in a timely manner.

Hey has anyone had any experience with rim protectors? I mean with my obsessive compulsive order, () is that the best way to keep the rims looking new?

I bought Kenda 760's at Tires Unlimited. I did't get the oversized width.

Front 80/100x21 $37.08
Rear 100/100x18 $40.68

They were quick on shipping.

deej,

Rim protectors are only used when changing tires to keep the rims from getting nicked up by the tools. You don't leave them on all the time!

Of course, you could cover them in aluminum foil if you would like!

Ok I'm a noob, but not that bad, I know what they are for. I just don't want to scratch the rims and have nicks that will bother me everytime I look at them.

A piece of plastic from a Pepsi bottle or a milk jug work very good. The price and shipping are quite reasonable.

I knew you knew what they were for, but when you tee it up like that, it is sometimes hard to resist taking a swing!

This great news that Kenda's seem to be a good replacement choice. I am sponsored by them for DH mountain bike racing, now I just need to get in touch with my rep about tires for my crosstraining sport. Thanks for the input on the sizes to, being a newb for bikes w/motors I read everything you guys post.

Thanks,
Steve
