Default Kenda 270 rear

I purchased a Zenda 270 rear tire in a 4.10-18 size. The description states Section width= 100, Aspect Ratio= 100, and Rim Dia.= 18. I was under the impression that the stock size is a 100/100-18. After reading several posts, it seems many guys are running 4.50, 4.60, and 5.10 sizes. Did I purchase the wrong size tire?

I think you have the right size because you have the s model. I run a 3.0 front and 4.6 rear on my bike but I have the sf so my rims are wider than yours. I think you are good.

4.10 is going to be kinda narrow. I have a 4.50 on mine and it is perfect. Just slightly wider than the stock tire was.

100/100 -18 is the way to go. If a tire has only 4.1, 4.6 etc., go by measured size, same outside diameter.

anything wider than stock will noticeably affect our already suspect power.

The OD, if bigger raises the gearing so the 13 up front is more like the stock 14.
I like my 100/100-18 Michelin AC-10

4.6 is an inch size the 100 is a metric size, they will both work, as long as the rim dia is right , 18 inch.

4.1 is 104 mm, so you are close. Many guys run 110mm wide tires , I like the 120mm wide tires. 4.6 = 117mm

ok, so it seems the tire might be a tad narrow but the tire will fit and should work fine. I certainly don't want to run a large tire that will rob some horse power. I'll look for a tire around 4.3 (110mm) in about 4,000 miles; hopefully Thanks everyone!

Let us know how you like it. I'll be due for a new rear before too long, have no idea what to get yet. I want the traction of a dirt tire with the wear of a street tire, like all of us. I'm between the D606 or the Kenda 270 I think.
