KDX200 snorkle 120 or 124 Dynojet main?
#11
With the KDX snorkle and the OEM exhaust, is the intake noise much different? Seems that I can really hear the intake already when on the road and with OEM intake and exhaust.
I'm getting close to ordering the BB blockoff plates and snorkle at the same time. Already have a 124 main to pop in.

Changing the intake snorkle does change the sound some what. It is a little bit louder with a deeper tone. I actually like it. It won't be so loud that you can't hear anything around you. Now if you removed the airbox lid all together, then thats a different story. The intake becomes really loud. Which is fine for when you are off-roading, but becomes annoying when just cruising down the streets.

Today, as a test, I removed the airbox lid and rode the bike on the same roads I used for jet testing.
The preformance with the lid removed was identical to using the KDX220 snorkle, and there was no indication of being too lean.
This leads me to beleive the KDX200 snorkle provides all the air the bike can handle when running stock exhust.
Going from the stock to the KDX220 snorkle required going up 2 jet sized, but going from the KDX220 snorkle to no airbox lid at all, required no rejetting.
