Kawasaki Triple
One of thesecurrently has the fastest 1/8 and 1/4 mile ET -by far- in the 'Timeslips' section of these forums. It's the Kawi 750triple. For youyoungsters, these bikes were 2-smokes andwere scary fast...in a staight line, but if you wantedaREALLY frighting experience try taking that pig though some corners.

Not fast enough you say? How about a 'double triple.'

Ok, back to our regularly sceduled program.

That'swise beyondyouryear for that age. Our neighbor hada 500 triple and let me ride it (illegally) at 14 years old. That thing was stupid, scary fast for a middle weight bike. I still see a few of them here in Japan. They love to maintain their classics and show them off on the weekend.

I rode the 500cc version in the early 80's for a few years. I sold it ( STUPID ....STUPID me) cause even at19ishI knew that i'd end up a hood ornament if I didn't.

A buddy of mine when I was in High School had a 750. His older brother had a 500. I used to borrow the 500
and we go raise hell. Tremor is right, they didn't handle worth a damn, but they were scary in a straight line.

I saw a 500 done up in cafe style at the bar a month or so ago. It had expansion pipes on it, solo seat and a brake upgrade. It left a cloud of smoke behind it when it left, it was great
. Both the 500 and the 750 still pull pretty high $'s if in decent shape.

On the track, the H2's middle cylinder would overheat some. Suspension, frame andbrakes lacked the good lap times. All good fun. The TZ750 for yami was a good setup as well. Watching a fullN2O run in a quad with one of those was pretty awesome to witness. They all were kick a*s.
I saw a 750 and a Z1racing on a circuit, the 750 would eat the 9 coming outta turns it was only on the long straights the 9 would take the 750. Those things had outstanding torque.
