Fram had a bad reputation with their automotive filters. They were/are of very poor quality and caused bearing failures when the paper filter element ended up in the bearings. Too my knowledge this only applied to the spin on oil filter types. I'm currently running the fram CH6015 without issue with fit and quality.

Well, there ya go. Thanks for letting me know. I just remember hearing rumors of Fram having poor quality filters some time ago. Wasn't sure of the details. Well, the Fram CH6015 filter seems to be everywhere and at a cheap enough price. So that being said, I'll use it. Next oil change I'll start using the Fram. Thanks again.....

As an auto tech I have heard the same. A few with gm ls engines had problems with Fram filter imploding to the point there new slogan became (Fram dirt stopper oil blocker) funny but not....

Yes Werloc the made in China k&n fit and was exact size of kawi filter I removed.

Funny you mention that. I also a Toyota Technician. I've personally sawed open some Fram filters and was amazed at the lack of quality.

The CH6015 that I'm using on my KLX250 and Honda Foreman seems find and I have no issues with using it.
