I'll mention that to the people I know that earn their living on a Mac (that would include me).
XP? Now THAT'S funny.

I've had both. You can beat your head against a wall. It's not for me, and I'm never going back. You can ride that Chinese dual sport into the sunset.

lol....actually I still have to run a virtual xp machine because Allen Bradly PLC software will not run on anything else, but thats about the only thing I still run in xp mode.

Everything else I do is in win 7, I build my own puters except laptops.

I would consider a mac if I could get sonic wall to run on it .... otherwise not a chance considering how cheaply I can build a X58 motherboard running a core i7 with 24 gigs of ram...just sayin.

So if Mac OS is a Johnny Pag dual sport and Windows OS is a toy scooter, what does that make UNIX and Linux?

Catapillar .... great for servers, but regular users gotta use the scooter.

But I would be totally happy working in a business UNIX world....yeah thats right, no mac or windows .... but that will never happen while I make CO2

Yup! I have an X58 mobo, but went with Virtual Box for my VM, which lets me play with older Windows versions and Linux. The VM I use most is XP because I have an old flatbed scanner that Canon refuses to write 64bit drivers for....and I refuse to buy a new scanner until the old one dies.

The closest I get to a Mac OS is when I visit my son-in-law, who is a graphic designer. I also have an iPod touch...does that qualify? I just don't like how limited a Mac is when if comes to adding hardware as well as software availability, not to mention price. I also like to tweak my machine now and then. It seems that the Mac OS gives you all of these take it or leave it packages where they've already made all of the choices for you....not my cup of tea.
