Default Just got back from the ER.. Good time out on the ice today! (vids)

Ohh yeah. Nice day in the NE so went for a ride. Still got the screws on the tires so went out on a pond. Ended up doing a pretty mild high side, but stuck my arm out to catch myself (bad move). Ended up dislocating my shoulder. Couldn't pop it back in and it was hurting like a mothahhh.. My buddy left his bike in the woods, and drove mine with me on the back back to my house, then he went back to get his bike, and I went off to the ER.

Without further adooooo...

Vid of the crash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtrMAzvHcKA

Vid of doctor pulling my arm back into it's rightful spot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs5leMsTUec

Got some vicodins, just going to relax.. Feel much better now though. Was dislocated for three hours... Three hours of fun fun fun! haha

Stay safe!

rlj - don't let that discourage you. If you're worried about getting hurt you're not going to concentrating on riding harder and getting better.. So.. Ride on man

deej - I dunno.. I think if you're not falling you're not riding hard enough

I don't even know what was up with the dinosaurs.. Or the seagulls.. hahaa.. I was floating.

Vicodin! You should have insisted on Percocet. Make sure you get a shot or two of Vodka mixed in with the Vic... My RX for a comfy night after a crash:

1) Pain killers

2) Vodka

3) A snuggy

4) The sofa

5) TV remote

Get well soon.

Mike

Nice spot for ice riding, never tried that before. Bummer about the shoulder, but at least nothing broken so should heal up a lot faster. Hopefully no torn tendons or anything. Good luck!

KDXmike - Vicodin shouldn't be mixed with alcohol; you'll destroy your liver. I know this from personal experience as I used to take tons of Vicodin. lol :P
