Default Jetting Question

Hi guys,

I looked around and found a ton of info for jetting a 09 KLX250SF when installing a new air filter, removing the lid of the airbox, putting a slip-on...

I plan on installing a slip-on, K&N air filter, remove snorkel, DJ stage2 kit. Will I have to rejet if later on I decide to add a Powerbomb/Megabomb? Will there be a different jet setting for Powerbomb Vs Megabomb?

Thanks

I wouldn't think so...but, I'm assuming the differences between the two are minimal, and probably not significant at least from a jetting standpoint.

Have you found a K&N air filter to fit? I have a 09SF also. I've decided on an FMF Q4 slip on. I just need to find a jet kit. I don't really know what I need. I guess go up one or two sizes.

I checked the K&N website and could not find an air filter for our bikes.

I got the K&N air filter from someone here on the forum... I have not tried to put it in yet... But I have seen people here having it on... I will forward you the part number if I find it.

As for the Jets, you should just get the Dynojet Kit (or similar). It has all the instruction you need in it and all the parts you need. There are a few thread here that walk you through the rejetting...

I just purchased the FMF Q4 slip on as well. I am waiting for it to get here before I install everything on the bike... The reason I was asking if I needed to rejet when I will install a Powerbomb/Megabomb so I dont do the work twice... :-)

The instructions as well as jetting suggestions are on the Dynojet site for free, just look at the 2152 kit.

As far as the ac goes I think the one that fits the KX will work if I'm not mistaken.
