the lower the jet number the less fuel it delivers, if you keep the air flow the same the more fuel you put in you start to run rich. You don't want rich(too much fuel or not enough air) or lean ( too little fuel or too much air) but somewhere between.

A 122 is leaner than a 132. The bigger the number, the more fuel flow, therefore richer.

Try the second notch from top of the needle and see how she runs. Is your air lid removed? snorkel removed, high flow snorkel, stock snorkel?

Yeah, I think the 2nd notch is a good starting point. What are you running for an exhaust? If you are talking about a 128 Dynojet main at sea level, that should be pretty close to spot-on for 3/4 to WOT. The Dynojet 128 main is actually a bit smaller than the OEM Keihin 128, so if anything I think you would be a tad lean at WOT. Are your mains jets and needle both Dynojet brand? Sometimes odd things happen when you mix and match brands.

Yes I'm running the same setup as Aussieklx250, the main and needle are both Dynojet and we have the Staintune muffler. We both suffer from the problem of stalling or almost stalling after a long steep hill climb, if we give it a few rev's once we hit the peak it clears up otherwise it stalls. My needle is 3rd from the top.

Man, that sounds weird. Sometimes there is a problem with the dynojet needle not fully seating into the needle jet. That might be worth a look-see next time you have the carb apart. I don't remember which forum it was on, but more than one person has had to sort of 'de-bur' the dynojet needle with either a jeweler's file or emery cloth. Please excuse me if you already know what I'm about to say, because I don't like to assume. The needle jet is the hole in the bottom of the bore that the needle should be seating into once installed.

Have you followed your friend up a hill to see what color of smoke is coming out the pipe when it starts acting-up?

Although I haven't been specifically looking I'm sure I would have noticed if there was any smoke. It's weird because it won't flutter(sorry to use technical jargon[&:]) under hard acceleration on the road. I will check the needle jet for burrs. Thanks.
