got bit of a high idle.

ive been beating the crap out of the motor since i moved to charlotte and the last couple of days the idle has been a bit higher than normal.....
is it valve check time or is it just altitude change? came here from san diego...

any other ideas? i was thinking maybe cleaning the carb...

 

Check for an air leak. Things have a habit of loosening up on dirt bikes.

 

i was kinda light on the air filter oil wonder if thats it?

could be that little **** on the side that adjusts the IDLE; if you have been riding hard it could have easily gotten knocked.
not to mention, the move alone...........
I'm always having to tweek mine

 

Sounds crazy but they Idle high here in NC.

 

Closer to sea level, maybe? Just re-adjust the idle ****. Kawasaki put it there for that use.

 

You always check your carb settings at a different town/location. That way you keep the best power and prevent engine failures.
