Default It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood

Well I got to the bike shop today, walked out to the warehouse where all the bikes either were worked on and ready to be picked up, or were waiting to still be fixed, there must have been 50 bikes in there. So now I am wondering if I was brought to the front of the work orders because if I had to wait that long it would be spring time again. Anyway the parts guy is awesome, he also rides all kinds of stuff and has 7 bikes at home, we walked through the doors and I scanned for my bike, and there she was, a little dusty and still had 2 greasy fingerprints on the head, and yes I actually took my shirt and wiped them off Anyway he started the bike, and man I have to tell you it was as if it was November 23 all over again, quiet, (well except the Muzzy), and he took off the choke and let it idle and it was perfect. I decided to look for a helmet while I was there and ordered a Scorpion 2 XL, (maybe because my head had expanded riding the bike over to the main entrance and having everyone stare at the awesome noise and riding skills), anyway I got the flat black full face with flip up visor and it should be here in a week. $139.00 not bad, I almost got one of those helmets that the whole chin guard flips up, kind of cool but decided not. I also felt like riding the bike home almost 70 miles and I have to tell you that was the longest ride on exclusively blacktop to date, and I had to stop once around Lake Crescent and enjoy the scenery. The day was a clear blue sky and a fall day that was 75 in the open and when you hit a shaded patch it was 60. What a day and what a ride, it's good to have the bike back in the garage, after a customary wash of course.

Yay, Deej!!!

I would pay to have been there to see you clean off those greasy fingerprints off your engine with your shirt tail. Too bad no one got a photo.

Glad you got her back and all is well in the world of deej once again. [sm=groupwave.gif]
