It's Simply Amazing!
This past weekend was spent doing required maintenance on one of the other bikes in the garage.
However, I did get a chance to play with the KLX250 a bit. One of the things I did was to remove the airbox lid. I did notice that with the lid on, if I hit the throttle, I could see just a puff of darkened smoke as the carb transitioned to main jet - #128 - but that is all. With the lid removed, I never saw the darkened smoke. Didn't get a chance to ride it yesterday, but hope to do so this evening.
One of the things I found amazing is that with the stock exhaust on the bike, you could walk right behind it with the engine running and felt almost no air from the exhaust. Now, you can walk about 20 feet behind the bike and there is no doubt that the bike is running as you get hit by a whole lot of air.
Is the engine just flowing that much more air now?

Marty?................... That would be the same thing as if you had an 18 year old girlfriend, I don't think you could hang on for very long.

It's kind of like bull riding - it's not how long you're there, but what you accomplish while you're there!
Know what I mean, Vern?
